We must have a network of mentors – in all walks of lives.
People who have mentors make more money. Also people who are mentors make more money.
Busting the biggest fear of finding mentors:
- What do I have to offer to them?
- I am not good enough to have them as a mentor.
Take it slow … its like any other relationship.
Ask NOT what your mentor can do but ask what you can do for your mentor.
Mentors want and crave : appreciation and encouragement. Leave them feeling more energized. Make them feel appreciated. Look for opportunities to help out your mentor.

- What do you offer?
- What do you want?
Make a dream list and find people who are connected to them
- Make a dream list of people you would like to have as mentors
- Make another list: Who do I know that knows that person?
  - Use Linked in
  - Work backwards from the mentor you want …
  - Make a warm connect (higher chances of success)
Connect with courage
- Get clear on your fears (the feeling that you are impostor or don’t belong)
  - List them out
- Create a courage ritual
  - Affirmations
  - Music
  - Power poses
  - Visualizing yourself succeeding
- Do a small ask before a big ask
